Slice to Meet You

Hi! I’m Nicole - a social media pro with 8+ years of experience working in the sports & entertainment and food & beverage industries. Although my parents still don’t truly understand what I do (they call a tweet a “Tweeter”), they do know that I’m extremely passionate about my work. I know the importance of connecting with your audience and am passionate about growing and maintaining a social community for a brand.

I studied Communication and played lacrosse at Santa Clara University (Go Broncos!) where I also “studied” Italian food and wine during my study aboard program in Rome.

After college, I had the fin-tastic opportunity to join the Digital Media Team for the San Jose Sharks NHL team, where I did a little bit of everything including engaging with our fans online, creating fun social content with the players, launching our Snapchat account, building a new Sharks website, and providing on-site social media coverage for events like Drafts, All-Star Games, and Media Days. On game days, you could find me running around the arena, capturing real-time social content and racking up my 10K+ steps.

These days, I’m running social media for Hint Water, the flavored water company. As the sole member on the Social Media Team, I wear many hats, and handle everything from content ideation and creation, posting, content calendar planning, community management, analytics reporting, influencer management … even an occasional hand model. The best part of the job, besides being well hydrated, is gaining hands-on experience managing and growing our social media accounts and community.

When I’m not working, you can find me checking out new restaurants or bars in the city, planning my next trip, or petting a corgi.
