Back in the Summer of 2019, fried chicken sandwiches took the food world by storm and for good reason. There was no shortage of these crispy, juicy sandwiches in the Bay Area if you were craving one, including World Famous Hotboys, The Bird, Hotbird, and Proposition Chicken. But, there was one specific sandwich that everyone was talking about …. Popeyes. With much skepticism, I put my detective hat on and did some investigative work to answer the question everyone was asking: Is the Popeyes chicken sandwich worth the hype?
